Lars, a sweet, socially awkward young man in a small midwestern town, develops a romantic relationship with an anatomically correct, life-size sex doll named Bianca. With the support of his skeptical brother, his loving sister-in-law, a kind doctor, and ultimately the entire community, Lars begins to heal from a childhood trauma.
